BAY RESTAURANT

PROJECT MANAGEMENT / DESIGN: logo marque, full suite of restaurant materials and packaging.

MY ROLE

Designer and project manager for Bay restaurant branding material. Bay came to me with a request to re-imagine their unique seafront dining offering. I developed a new identity that increased brand awareness, customer loyalty and I am now the ongoing design consultant for Bay.

Taking inspiration from their location in the coastal village of Clontarf (The name Cluain Tarbh comes from the sound of the wind on the beach which is said to sound like the panting of a bull), I commissioned original etched driftwood-style menus. The menus convey their position by the bay and reflect their attitude to fresh sea air and healthy eating in their menu. Using antique Dublin bay map-based etch-style illustrations I redesigned Bay’s logo, recreated its brand personality and the experience of seaside dining in Clontarf.
